Coach Dorsey

2023 marks Eugene Dorsey’s 2nd year coaching at South Cobb High School. He will continue to serve as the defensive line coach. He is currently an 8th Grade IRR teacher at Cooper Middle School.

Prior to his coaching career, Dorsey grew up near Augusta, Georgia, where he played high school football and ran track. Upon his graduation from high school, he attended Albany State University, where he continued his football playing career. After graduating from Albany State, Dorsey made it his mission in life to help people. He has worked in mental rehabilitation facilities and diversion camps for juvenile offenders.

Coach Dorsey enjoys spending time with his family and serving as a deacon in his church. South Cobb players appreciate his real-world perspective and the energy he brings to sidelines on Thursday and Friday nights.
