Josh O'Kelley grew up in Dallas, Georgia, and graduated from North Paulding High School in 2012. Coach O'Kelley attended Reinhardt University to play Football on a scholarship however, after a year and a career ending injury, Coach O'Kelley transferred to Kennesaw State University to focus on his degree where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in History Education in 2018. Coach O'Kelley recently graduated with a Masters in Kinesiology, with a Minor in Coaching Education from Georgia Southern University, and plans to pursue further degrees in the future.

Coach O'Kelley spent five and a half years as an Assistant Football Coach at East Paulding High School, and also took a role as the Assistant Varsity Coach and Junior Varsity Head Coach for the Wrestling Program at East Paulding High School. Coach O'Kelley spent four years at Kennesaw Mountain High School, where he was the Head Wrestling Coach for 3 years, and the Offensive Line Coach/Run Game Coordinator for two years, during which time The Mustangs had their best seasons in school history. Coach O'Kelley is entering his 11th year as a coach, and his first year at South Cobb High School as the Assistant Head Coach, Co-Offensive Coordinator, Special Teams Coordinator, Recruiting Coordinator, and Offensive Line Coach.

In his spare time, Coach O'Kelley enjoys cooking, reading, and spending time with his beautiful wife, Elly, and incredible daughters, Isla and Kinleigh.
