Coach Taylor

Dustin Taylor joins the staff at South Cobb High School as Linebackers Coach in 2023 following three years at Broadway High School in Virginia.  Prior to South Cobb he held the roles of Offensive Coordinator, and Inside Linebackers Coach at Broadway.  As OC he helped lead Broadway to their first playoff appearance in 8 years accomplishing a 7-5 mark and second round playoff run.  As LB coach, he helped Broadway accomplish a 4-2 mark in a Covid shortened season and first winning season in 7 years.  Both of his starting ILB’s were awarded Valley District 1st team honors, while one was also awarded 1st Team All-Region honors.  Dustin started his coaching career as a Coaching Intern while in college at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia.  He joined a new staff in year 1 led by Everett Withers.  While tasked with coaching the Tight Ends, JMU’s offense put up D1 FCS leading numbers, on their way to a 9-4 mark, first winning season, and playoff appearance since 2011.

Dustin graduated from James Madison University with a bachelor's degree in Sport and Recreation management, and a minor in General Business.

He and his wife Amy have twin daughters, Charlee and Camryn, currently in 1st grade, and a younger son, Damon.  His hobbies include working on cars, attending live events, and traveling.
